About croquet

Croquet is played on a grass Lawn 28 by 35 yards, equipped with 6 hoops and a centre peg. There is a set of four balls, each weighing a pound and normally coloured Blue, Red, Black and Yellow. These are all standard and supplied by the Club.

The balls are driven through the hoops using a mallet which is selected by the player and may differ from others within regulation limits. This set-up can be used to play games devised for training or social purposes, but there are two games controlled by international, namely Golf croquet and Association Croquet.
